I was introduced to yoga in 2008, in a free class in a church basement and has been practicing ever since. As a former cheerleader, dancer and gymnast, I connected with the physical aspect of yoga quickly, but the subtle energetic experiences ignited my interest to take my practice deeper. I continue to study at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis, where I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes and workshops, including meditation, yoga for chakras, partner yoga, yoga and meditation for peace and grounding, intuition, yoga for the workplace and has taught at national conferences. My classes are a vinyasa inspired style I have coined "Mindful Flow". My classes are intuitively inspired and are thoughtful to the diverse communities i teach in, deeply honoring the idea that yoga is for every body, regardless of body shape, ability, race gender, orientation, age and background. I teach from a place of peace loving empathy, and hope that students leave my classes feeling renewed and inspired to live in the here and now!
When I am not practicing yoga you can find me enjoying time outside with the people I love, behind the pages of a good book, trying out a new raw vegan dessert (preferably with dark chocolate), fueling my creative energy with drawing and writing, or exploring the local farmers market for fresh organic veggies. I am so grateful for where I am and am excited to see where I go. The light in me honors, respects and sees the light inside you. Namaste.
